The property has a stunning and unique location, right by the centre of the forest. the indigenous forest passing Monkeyland adds to the beauty of the location.

Everything was great, awesome location adjacent to Monkeyland which is said to be the world's first free-roaming and a tropical jungle wonderful, restful experience. Elegant room, that also was extremely spacious with an incredible view to the forest. The staff were really kind and very very nice, offered excellent services. Location in the middle of the city was a plus😃😃

In overall, the place is magnificent, has great and sympathetic staff that add to the air of relaxation. The location is stunning, 5 minutes' walk to Monkeyland. The hotel is set in a good area with views of the forest.

The unique and beautiful design of the lodges/rooms which were totally surrounded by trees, the sound of the frogs/toads at night , the romantic feel of the the lodges and the jacuzzi and sauna. The hosts made us feel really special too. We have stayed in a number of lodges in game parks etc and this one ranks no.1 for us !
A very small point - a log fire is lit in the Spa prior to use however it went out despite our efforts to keep it lit. As this is such a nice feature it would be good to have it lit well in advance or leave firelighters or bellows available.

This setting is perfect for a romantic getaway. The spa is out of this world, lit up with candles and a fireplace on a rainy day it made it impossible not to relax and unwind. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the breakfasts are great.
If you get withdrawal symptoms when out of cell signal, Trogon House might make you antsy. Limited cell reception and DSTV signal ensure that you focus on leaving work behind you and relaxing fully (we found it to be a welcome challenge).
